This is the original painting by Walter Velez (1939-2018) used for the cover of Book #1 of David Bischoff's "The Gaming Magi" trilogy of fantasy novels, published by New American Library/NAL, 1989  (I show the cover for your reference).  Fantastic imagery and details, and handpainted in acrylic on stretched canvas, 24" x 14" and is signed by Velez.
