This is the original painting by Walter Velez (1939-2018) created for Volume 2 of the fantasy anthology series edited by Andre Norton and Robert Adams, published by Ace, 1985. (I show the published cover for your reference).  The collection contains original short stories by various contributing authors all relating to the fantasy world of the legendary Ithkar Fair, a massive gathering place where diverse folk, traders, and mages meet. Handpainted in acrylic on stretched canvas,  30" x 10" and is signed by Velez.
