Original painting, a new personal work created this year, 2023 - inspired by the classic novel everyone knows!   Terry seized upon this line "From Hell's heart I will stab at thee" to depict Ahab and his shackled 'skeleton crew's' doomed quest to kill the great white whale (now burned black by the fires of Hades).   Hand-painted in acrylics on gesso primed hardboard,  15 1/2" x 10 1/2" plus 1" border and signed bottom right below a sinking crew member.    Terry has returned to painting in color and this is a reminder of his amazing imagination!
