This is an original painting by Steve Hickman (1949-2021), a personal work in oils on canvas created 1995, for a planned book written by the artist. It was ultimately published in Spectrum 4: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art (1997), selected as a featured interior art on page 134 and also was reproduced in "The Art of Stephen Hickman: Empyrean" in 2015 when Titan Books published the major definitive hardcover collecting Hickman’s lifelong portfolio. The painting Nagheal the Sorceress (alternatively spelled Naghal) was officially included on page 19 as a prominent piece of featured interior art. This is clearly a major work by this well-known artist, with dimensions 30" × 14" plus custom frame and signed.
