Romas Kukalis: "Outworld Cats" prelim

This is an original preliminary painting by Romas, one of a handful of prelims from a private collection returning to the market for the first time in 22 years.  It's a fun scene inspired by the SF novel by Frank Lovejoy, depicting two extraterrestrial, cat-shaped aliens who find themselves stranded aboard a United Nations communication station in Earth's orbit - published by DAW, 1994 (I show the cover for reference)  The artwork is painted in acrylics on board, 11” x 6.75” plus matte and is signed by Romas bottom right.
