Acquired as part of a trade for art, this is a rare opportunity to purchase one of Powers' personal paintings at a great price....a depiction of his hometown in Ridgefield, showing a scene of his Connecticut country-side, circa 1972!  this is a wonderful example of Powers' skill in making even a landscape appear dramatic - see the textured surfaces and focus.  It's a beautiful scene in acrylic on gessoed wood board, approx 22" x 28" and comes matted and framed under glass to 23" x 29" - also signed and dated '72 bottom left.  See photos -  this is an impressive, gorgeous, heavy painting - Powers loved to used wood panels!  NOTE: I would be open to reasonable offers on this one....as I need to reduce the paintings I don't have room to hang.
