Richard Bober: Of Mice and Men (The Dormouse)

Original full color painting inspired by Bober's illustrative art for "Fantastic Alice" (Ace, 1996). Here, Bober has wonderfully conceived Mad Hatter pouring tea onto the head of the hapless Dormouse...it's a marvelous and witty painting, with all the "over the top" embellishments Bober fans crave, including a magnificent teapot. Finally finished in 2010, and handpainted in acrylic and oil on stretched canvas, 30" x 24" and is signed by Bober.  A marvelous painting!
