Richard Bober: Neo Cleo portrait in profile

This is an original artwork, one of several studies of Cleopatra Richard created in preparation for a potential commission from The Bradford Exchange for a series of collector plates commission, 1999.  He pursued various "incarnations" of the famous Queen, including more stylized interpretations which blended a traditional approach with modern touches in her make-up - which he called "Neo" versions Strongly done and beautifully rendered in  acrylic and oil on canvas board, 10.75" x 8.25" and is signed by Bober in the image bottom right plus carries Bober's studio stamp verso.
