*Peter Lawman: "Scorpio!"

This is an original painting by British artist Peter Lawman depicting the Scorpio astrological sign -  one in a series of 12 that we saw on display at the Portal Gallery in London, 1998.  We weren't familiar with his work at the time, but the image struck me (I'm a Scorpio) and so I had to have it!  Turned out that Lawman is known for oil on canvas works, often featuring mythical, allegorical, or detailed figurative subjects - and this piece is no exception: it's colorful and very detailed and most of all - intriguing - so I was happy to have this on my wall all these years!  In oil, 12" x 10" plus framed to 16" x 14" and is signed and dated '96 bottom right in the image.
