Paul Alexander: "Bolos: Honor of the Regiment"

This is an original final published painting by Paul Alexander (1937-2021), one of several works coming from a private collection - and one of the very few to be found on the market these days. This artwork was used to illustrate the 1993 science fiction anthology - the 4th book in the classic "Bolos series" -  edited by Bill Fawcett and Keith Laumer, published by Baen (I show the cover for reference)  The anthology (with contributions by several well known writers) chronicles the history and legacy of the Bolo—"a massive, self-aware futuristic sentient war machine with heavy armor and massive laser cannons that acts as a ultimate defender of humanity."  Handpainted in gouache on illustration  board, c. 26" x 16" comes signed and framed.
