Pat Boyette: Mystery

This is a fantastic original painting by Pat Boyette created c. 1955-60s, coming from the Sal Gentile estate (Charlton comics)  Painted in oils 22" x 17" and signed lower left, plus comes custom framed.   Boyette (1923–2000) was an American artist known for his careers in both comics, and fine art - and he was known combines historical imagery with a dystopian or whimsical "steampunk" feel.  It is unknown if this piece saw publication but it's likely since he worked for more than two decades for Charlton comics (where Gentile was editor and illustrator) as well as other comic publishers.
