This is an original artwork, one of many interior illustrations Ned created "The Coelura" by Anne McCaffrey, published in hardcover by Underwood- Miller, 1987 (I'm showing the published cover as reference).  This particular work appeared on page 33, painted in black-and-white acrylic on paper 15" x 10: mounted to board 20"x 15".   There are some condition issues on the backing board and minor spotting on the lower portion of the art, this may be a matter of dirt or tape residue; cleaning the paper may solve the problem.  In any event, the main image is well worth matting and framing!
