Mark E. Rogers: "Samarai Cat and Shiro"

This is an original painting seen as an interior illustration in "The Samarai Cat goes to the Movies"  -  a 1994 satirical fantasy novel by Mark E. Rogers (1952-2014) published by Tor Books, and was the fifth installment in the Samurai Cat series.  The "Cat" series was a running "gonzo parody" featuring a samurai cat named Miaowara Tomokato "adventuring as he avenges the death of his master—accompanied, at times, by his homicidal little nephew Shiro."  This painting shows BOTH characters, and was reproduced on the last page in his book, although in black-and-white instead of full color as in the original (I show the cover for reference only) Hand painted in acrylic on board, 13" x 7" signed in logo initials "MER" top left and framed to 17" x 11".
