Laura Reynolds: "The Grump King"

It's hard to imagine any convention goer and fan of fantasy art who has not seen Laura's amazing fantasy dolls - or recognize "'The Grump" as being a prime example of her talents.  Year after year Reynolds' (1971-2022)  three-dimensional "dressed" Dragons, griffins, monsters, fairies, and other assorted fantasy creatures graced  her exhibit and bazaar table - Winning over a dozen awards at Dragon*Con alone, but also prizes at MarCon, Archon, Conglomeration, Rivercon, Millennicon, PhilCon, Windycon, LonestarCon 2, Boskone 35, and Nexus, as well as a Judge’s Choice Award at the 2010 World Fantasy Convention.  Laura’s work was nominated for a Chesley award for Best 3D in 1998, 1999, and 2004, and she finally won that much coveted award in 2007 (presented by The Association of Science Fiction & Fantasy Artists).  The Grump King stands on a pedestal, 31" H X 10" W X 9" DEEP - fully dressed in fur embellished cape, sword and necessary accessories.....  as the Lord he rightly is.
