Original cover painting created for the 2nd Volume in Kim Stanley Robinson's "Three Californias Triptych" series of SF novels, published by Futura Orbit (UK), 1989.  Perhaps because the Art Director felt that any book with this title should be tinted orange....the cover was altered in way that distinctly differed from the artist's conception - and in the process obliterating the wonderfully surreal feel and depth of the original painting.  Done in acrylic on illustration board, 26" x 16" and signed.
