Karen Hibbs: "Ketchisaurus"

Hibbs produces Fine art glass in her studio that is unparalleled in uniqueness of subject matter, beauty and execution. Her work features mixed-media compositions combining handmade stained glass, kiln-formed glass, sculpted metals, and natural elements like fossils, minerals, and carved stone - as you see here in marvelous display.   This major example of her skill is an impressive 27" x 15" glass wall hanging from c. 2007 suspended on metal chains, was part of her specialized series combining handmade opalescent and antique amber glass elements, ammonites from Madagascar, and featuring a central embedded mid-Triassic fossil reptile/lizard plate  - hence the title  "Ketchisaurus"
