John Berkey: "Pavanne" prelim

This is an original preliminary painting by John Berkey (1932-2008), one of a handful from a private collection returning to the market for the first time in 22 years.  This prelim was created in preparation for completing the final art for Interior illustration for the short story "Pavanne for a Dead Pross" by Jo Clayton, published in Realms of Fantasy Magazine, April 1996 issue, p. 38.  The art is painted in casein and acrylic on  illustration board,  approx 10.25" x 12" and comes framed to 17.75" x 18.75" and signed "Berkey" lower right.
