John Berkey: "Pavanne"

This is an original final published painting by John Berkey (1932-2008), one of a handful from a private collection returning to the market for the first time in 22 years.  This artwork was used to illustrate the short story "Pavanne for a Dead Pross" by Jo Clayton, published in Realms of Fantasy Magazine, April 1996 issue, p. 38.  It was painted in casein and acrylic on illustration board,  17" x 16" and comes framed to 24" x 22" and is signed "Berkey" lower right.
