John Berkey: "Check Six" prelim

This is an original preliminary painting by John Berkey (1932-2008), one of a handful from a private collection returning to the market for the first time in 22 years.  Created for a thriller novel by Bob Norris based on his Navy exploits, published by Harpercollins 1998.  The art is painted in casein and acrylic,  12.5" x "7.5" and is signed "Berkey" lower right.  It's a dynamic scene, fully representative of Berkey's style.
