This is the original painting by Jim Burns created to illustrate the cover of the novel by Marco John, Published by GollanczOrion Books (UK) 2004 (the cover shown here for reference only) Magnificent image and amazing details on the armour, see photo!  Hand-painted in acrylics on masonite, with image dimensions 19” x 12.75” and is Signed and dated in initials “JB ‘02” by the artist bottom left. Also  Titled and signed by the artist below the image in the margin.
