This is the original painting by Jim Burns created to illustrate “Northwest Smith” by C. L. Moore,  Published by Ace books, for the 1st paperback edition, 1982 (I show the published cover for your reference).  One of Jim's best, a masterpiece of science fiction art featuring an unforgettable portrait - painted in Acrylics on illustration board with Image dimensions 30” x 18” signed by Burns plus comes with custom matte and frame (I apologize for the poor photo with glare; glass will likely be remove for shipping)  One of Jim's best from his early days, a memorable example of his work.
