This is a rare opportunity to own the original "paste-up" sheet for the Inside cover (page 2) and Table of Contents for Cosmos Science Fiction Magazine issue for July 1977 (Vol 1, #2)   Back in the day, that was how magazines were printed: scans were made of identical sized sheets of heavy paper 13.5" x 19" (a size calculated to yield - after printing - double page sheets to trim and bind into a magazine of 11" x 8.5" size) to which the text and art was "pasted" (glued) down. Here, we have a pasteup in black-and-white that when published became the colorful image you see in the photo of the magazine... note that the table of contents has a reproduction reduced scan of Gaughan's art for the story "Waiting at the Speed of Light" (which paste-up sheet is also being listed for sale - so it would be interesting for a collector to purchase both sheets - so long as they remain available - at 10% discount which I would refund after purchase plus combine shipping of course).  Gaughan was the Art Director for the magazine and contributed many images to the issues, and of course came up with the concepts.... This is a unique piece of science fiction literary history, from a publication period never to be seen again, and rarely seen or available for sale.
