This is the original painting used to illustrate the cover of Volume 4 of "War World," the science fiction series of novels by Jerry Pournelle, published by Baen in the paperback edition 1992  (I show the published cover for reference)  Marvelous Ruddell style that is unforgettable, done in oils on canvas mounted on wood panel 24” x 15” signed and dated '91 bottom right and comes framed to 28" x 19".  No glass on this one, just naturally heavy given the media!   This painting is part of a private collection acquired 1993, and now returning to the market.
