Original artwork commissioned by Orbit/Futura for the 3rd in the Snow Queen Cycle by Joan Vinge -  mid to late 1980s.  Fred did the other two books in the series, same round format - stiking in acrylic on illustration board, 11.5" in diameter on larger board... and signed.
