This is the original painting created to illustrate the "maritime thriller" by well-known author Robert Ludlum, published by Panther, 1992.  To emphasize the power of "Levianthan" the "towering wall of steel" that is at the center of the story, note how Fred has depicted the sailboat - in book covers, relative size sends a message that is as dramatic as any action within the novel.  Painted in acrylic on illustration board, 16" x 18" and comes signed...there's a small crease top left corner which can be masked by a matte....without detracting from the image.
