This is an original painting created for the cover of the novel by Alfred Coppel, published by Methuen, 1986.   Known for his SF stories and novels, Coppel was a versatile writer who crossed genres to author thrillers, adventure novels and even historical romance.  This book tells the story of two feuding families, set in Northern Spain in the 1850s, and so we have a beauty on horseback, with the Pyrenees as backdrop!  Painted in "wraparound" landscape format, acrylic on illustration board, 16" x 22"  and comes signed.
