This is an original painting created to illustrate the second book in the highly popular "Black Stallion" series of children's books by Walter Farley, the sequel to the "the Black Stallion" - before Farley would go on to publish many more!  Published in paperback by Knight Books, 1988.  Painted in acrylic on illustation board, 18.5" x 11.5" and comes signed.   Fred produced eight covers for books in this series, you have your pick of any that remain available!
