This is an original painting created for the cover of a historical romance novel by Elizabeth Goudge, published by Coronet, in paperback 1972.  Fred produced a number of book covers for this well-known British author - this one set in the Channel Islands and New Zealand, in the 1830s.  Gorgeous coloration and Lovely imagery and details, in "wraparound" landscape format, in acrylic on illustration board, 18" x 24.5"  and comes signed.
