This is an original painting in pen and ink featuring several angles of Rodin's famous artwork
"The Thinker" done on paper 16.5" x 11.75" and signed bottom right. Terry says he was inspired to create this work by a quote from a book by Jacob Bronowski, "The Ascent of Man" which was 'The democracy of the intellect comes from the printed book.' . . . . the irony of which Terry couldn't ignore - "what with the potential banning of certain books back on the political agenda in the Western world". With that in mind Terry figured that Rodin's "The Thinker" was sufficiently representative of someone who could be influenced by Bronowski's statement. It's another major work, one of his best in a medium in which he excels!
