Donato Giancola: "Widowmakers Omnibus" (Atlantic Ave 2467)

This original painting by Donato is being offered for the first time since 2006, and presents a major opportunity for collectors to acquire one of his best!  It was reproduced on the cover of "The Widowmaker Omnibus" a collection of the first three novels of the celebrated science fiction author Mike Resnick's acclaimed space-western series, published in 1998 in hardcover by the Science Fiction Book Club (SFBC).  The novels Included were: The Widowmaker (1996), The Widowmaker Reborn (1997), and The Widowmaker Unleashed (1998).  Hand-painted in oil on panel, 28" x 18" custom framed to 36" x 30" and is signed dated 1998.  Adding to the appeal of this work is the fact that Donato used his family as models. The current owner was told by the artist that the couple with the camera are his parents and the fellow working on the car is his brother!  Amazingly detailed throughout, and a marvelous futuristic cityscape - you'll never be bored looking at this masterwork of a science fiction illustration.
