This is the original vintage cover painting for the historical novel by Roy Clews,  published by Corgi, 1977  (I show the published cover for reference) Well-rendered and Interesting characters and composition set this one apart, in gouache and acrylic on illustration board, 11" x 14" and comes with a label attesting to its authenticity signed by Pether's widow, mounted to the back.  There is some discoloration to the white surround background but the characters are terrific so despitethose signs of wear and tear due to age - it's well worth preserving! !
