This is the original cover painting for the novel by Jean Chapman, published by Piatkus, 1995.   An exciting romantic novel set in post World War II Malaya at the time of the Communist insurgency - this was created in "wraparound" format and Hand-painted in gouache and acrylic on illustration board, 12" x 17" and is one of the few paintings from Pether that was signed and dated (1994).  But it will also come with a label attesting to its authenticity signed by Pether's widow, mounted to the back.
