Original cover painting created for the softcover edition of the novel by Desmond Lowden, for Mayflower, 1974.  The book is listed online but scans unavailable - so I can only provide the information found in Pether's inventory, listed as the cover.  It's a great image, very attractive, especially to racing fans!   Handpainted in gouache on illustration board, in "wraparound" panoramic format, 14" x 22" and comes with a label attesting to its authenticity signed by Pether's widow, mounted to the back.  Colorful and dynamic, huge eye-appeal!
