This original painting was created for the cover of the final novel in Eugenia Price's "Savannah Quartet", published by Fontana in paperback, 1990.  Romantic and finely painted in gouache and acrylic on illustration board 11.25" x15.25" in wraparound/landscape format.  And comes with a label on the back attesting to authenticity, signed by Pether's widow.
