In the 1980s Dave Pether created some marvelous paintings for various advertising campaigns, commissioned though a company called Market Match, and an advertising agency, Champion and Holdway (CHL). Two original paintings are available, each showing the same adorable Golden Retriever in a different pose. This one in gouache and acrylic on illustration board, image approx 13" x 8" on board a bit larger. There is some spotting and discoloration to the background, some of which a matte will cover (see cropped photo) - the main figure is perfect, and very cute! A label attesting to authenticity, signed by Pether's widow, is on the back.  Buy both Retrievers in the series and shipping will be combined/discounted.
