This is the original preliminary painting for the fantasy novel by Christopher Stasheff, published by Del Rey/Ballantine, 1994  (I show the cover for reference)  This cover was also chosen for inclusion in Sweet's card set from FPG, 1994. It's a great image, practically a mini version of the cover with all the characters in place and in detail.  Painted in acrylics on illustration board, 7.5" x 4.5"  and is signed titled and dated 1993 by Darrell on the reverse.
