This is the original painting created for the cover of Neil Smith's Book #2 in his North American Confederacy collection of libertarian science fiction novels, published by Ballantine in paperback, 1981.  First published in 1980, this installment continues to explore an alternate timeline where the US is a libertarian utopia, following Win Bear as he investigates a massive kidnapping case. Handpainted in Acrylics on Upson board, 24" x 16"  and signed bottom left.
