This is the original preliminary art created for the sequel to Lyndon Hardy's "Master of the Five Magics" fantasy novel, published by Del Rey 1986 (Ishow the cover for reference) Intense and visually arresting I would have loved to see this image on the cover! Handpainted in acrylic on illustration board, 7" x 4.25"  and it's titled by Darrell on the reverse.
