This is the original preliminary art created for Book #5 in Piers Anthony's "Kelvin of Rud" series of fantasy novels published by Tor, 1992 (Ishow the cover for reference) Dramatic and beautifully rendered for a prelim, very handsomely handpainted in acrylic on illustration board, 7" x 4.5"  and it's titled and identified as sketch II, signed and dated 1991 by Darrell on the reverse.
