This is the original preliminary painting created Stirling E Lanier's fun 1983 "pulp" sci-fi novel set in the near future, published by Del Rey/Ballantine  (I show the cover for reference)  Marvelous one-eyed menace - could be future lobster or crab - colorful for sure!   Handpainted in acrylics on upson board, 7" x 4.25"  and is titled and signed by Darrell on the reverse.
