This is the original preliminary painting created for the science fiction novel by John Brunner, published by Ballantine, 98 (I show the cover for reference)  As a concept, this image surely comes closest to the actual story - with captivating details,  nicely done in acrylics on illustration board, 7" x 4.25".  A letter of authenticity happily provided by the estate, if desired.
