Harry Schaare: Raider's Revenge

This is an original vintage painting by well-known illustrator Harry Schaare (1922 - 2008). created for the cover of the western novel by Ray Hogan, published 1960 in paperback by Pyramid G498.  A dynamic image, as the cover describes it "The thrilling story of a confederate spy....a flaming novel o Mosby's Gray Ghosts" signed by Schaare bottom center, and painted in oil on illustration board, c. 20" x 15" matted and framed to 26" x 20"  with Schaare also credited on the back cover of the book, which comes with the purchase.
