This is an original painting from 1979, a beautiful landscape of Mercury with a view of the sun in the background, with sunspots!  Painted in acrylics on illustration board, 9.5" x 13.75" signed bottom right in the image, plus signed titled and dated on the reverse -  and comes matted and framed (no glass) to 14.5" x 18.5". This painting is part of a very special private collection of twelve astronomical paintings, with all sales benefitting the National Space Society, thanks to Joe Rauscher - long-time Space Solar Power advocate, and Director at the Space Development Foundation. These original works have not been available on the market since they were first acquired from the artists in the late 1970s-early 1980s, making this a rare opportunity for collectors.
