Richard Bober: Scream Along with Me

 This is the original painting created for the cover of Alfred Hitchcock's "Scream Along with Me" collection of short stories published by Dell, in paperback, 1981 (I show the published cover for reference) - It's a delightful illustration, including a depiction of Hitchcock himself as part of the trio of portraits!    Bober's marvelous trompe l'oeil technique and surface embellishment is in full view here, handpainted in acrylic and oil on masonite, 15.25" x 20.75" and signed "RB" in initials bottom center of the portrait's frame next to the marble bust - reacting in horror to horror!
