This is the original painting created by Vanderstelt to illustrate the cover for #3 of 10 novels in S. L. Viehl science fiction "Stardoc" series, published by ROC, 2001 (see published cover for reference) Large, detailed and colorful (those are terrific alien spiders!), it's a great composition in Acrylics on board approx 38” x 25” and the consignor tells me this one is signed on the back. This painting comes beautifully custome matted and framed, see photo -so I don't want to take it apart to prove  (but see other similarly signed Vanderstelts on offer)
