This is the original cover painting for the romance novel by Tom Davies published by Fontana UK in paperback, 1990.  (I show the published cover for reference) Described as a "racy, fast-paced love story", Pether still managed to create a beautifully rendered painting for the novel set in the docklands of Tiger Bay/Cardiff Scotland after WW1.   Handpainted in Acrylic and gouache on illustration board , in "wraparound" landscape format, it's 16.5" x 10.25"  and comes with a label attesting to its authenticity signed by Pether's widow, mounted to the back.    She's a beauty!
