In the 1980s Dave Pether started producing several paintings for the weekend British TV series called London Weekend Television (LWT) - well known for showing American films and TV show series as well as British ones.   The images were used for intro titles as well as backgrounds for commercial breaks.  Most would have been used 1983-1987.   This art was created for the 1977 TV mini series starring Leslie Ann Warren and David Dukes.  It's a colorful and good sized painting, 12.25" x 17", hand-painted in gouache and acrylic on illustration board,  plus there's a label attesting to authenticity signed by Pether's widow on the back.  A great scene, featuring great stars and in great condition.
