This is the original preliminary artwork created for the 1983 Bantam paperback edition of the 1944 book written by hunter-naturalist Jim Corbett, detailing his experiences in the Kumaon region of India.   (I show the published book for reference)  Very much like the final art, with the focus on the tiger, and not his prey.  Great visual effect, in acrylic on  illustration board, 7" x 4.25 and  titled on the back.
