This is the Original preliminary art created for the cover of Spells of Binding - Liavek Book #4 in the series of short stories set in the Mideast,  edited by Will Shetterly and Emma Bull, and published by Ace 1988 (I show the published cover for reference)  It's a sweet (no pun intended!) composition, like a mini-version of the final art seen on the cover,  Handpainted in acrylic on illustration board, 7" x 4.25" and titled on the back
