Ron Miller: Hektor

This is an original painting dating from 1980, depicting the largest of two trojan asteroids that orbit the planet Jupiter - and it was featured on page 163 of the first edition of Ron's memorable "The Grand Tour: A Traveler's Guide to the Solar System" (I show the cover only for reference).  Great effect, and painted in acrylics on board, 13.75" x 8.75" and is signed titled and dated on the reverse (along with Ron's notes!) - plus  comes double matted to 20" x 15".   This painting is part of a very special private collection of twelve astronomical paintings, with all sales benefitting the National Space Society, thanks to Joe Rauscher -  long-time Space Solar Power advocate, and Director at the Space Development Foundation. These original works have not been available on the market since they were first acquired from the artists in the late 1970s-early 1980s, making this a rare opportunity for collectors.
